Can tolerance help us?
Tolerance is surely the key for the successful relations. No one is perfect and you need to patient enough to let go the things and forgive the mistakes.

Tolerance is an important quality that helps us to put up with differences. It helps people to be patient and understanding to those who have different views, standards of living, religion, race, nationality, etc. Perhaps, it’s the only virtue that holds back from global conflicts. Tolerance can be shown in many ways, not only in agreeing with things that contradict your vision of life. For example, one person can disagree with others on any issues, but at the same time respect their opinion and treat with dignity. In this case he or she shows tolerance. It means that disagreement doesn’t always apply to intolerance. Unfortunately, not everyone is tolerant in this world. Tolerance is often one-sided. While you show respect and understanding of other people’s vision of life, they can ignore yours and try to reassure you that you are on the wrong side. Usually ill-mannered people behave in such a way. I think that tolerance is necessary in any civilized society. However, it would be wrong to believe that all people can achieve compromise on any debated issue. Accepting different points of view is a learned attribute. It takes to time and commitment to develop this skill. Tolerance is a highly useful quality indeed. Intolerance, on the contrary, can lead to many horrible acts. For example, Cain killed Abel because he couldn’t bear that his elder brother was important in the eye of God. This is only one of many example of intolerance in the course of history and mythology. In my opinion, children should be taught tolerance from the very young age. If everyone was at least partially tolerant, the world would be a much better place to live in.

Tolerance is the appreciation of diversity and the ability to live and let others live. It is the ability to exercise a fair and objective attitude towards those whose opinions, practices, religion, nationality and so on differ from one's own. Tolerance is showing respect for the essential humanity in every person.
Tolerance is a virtue. It is a version of the golden rule in that.
Being tolerant means being loving and considerate of others who differ from us.
Being tolerant means being patient and forgiving of others' errors.
Being tolerant means being understanding with those who are weaker.
Being tolerant means Being willing to sacrifice some of your wants and needs.
Ø The human family is very diverse, with many different beliefs and
cultures and ways of life.  Many conflicts in our world are caused
when people are intolerant of the ways that others see the world.
Learning tolerance is an important cornerstone to creating a better world.
Robert Alan Silverstein
Ø Tolerance, a term which we sometimes use in place of the words
respect, mercy, generosity, or forbearance, is the most
essential element of moral systems; it is a very important source
of spiritual discipline and a celestial virtue of perfected people.
M. Fethullah Güle
Ø It is thus tolerance that is the source of peace,
and intolerance that is the source of disorder and squabbling.
Pierre Bayle
Ø Toleration is the greatest gift of the mind; it requires the same effort of the brain that it takes to balance oneself on a bicycle.
Ø If a profound gulf separates my neighbor's belief from mine, there is always the golden bridge of tolerance.

Tolerance is important family value. Values are the important “internal compasses”. The development of these values is a long process that entails many interactions between children and adults.
Even good relationships take work. After all, our significant other, our close friends, and even our parents aren’t perfect. We have to learn how to accommodate and adapt to their idiosyncrasies, their faults, their moods, etc., just as they must learn how to do the same with us. And it’s worth it.
Tolerance means that there are times when you need to be patient and choose not to argue when it is not necessary. There are times when it is good to voice your opinions, but when it comes to the trivial things, sometimes it is just not worth it. It’s called choosing your battles, and some things are just easier to leave alone, rather than arguing about it.
Friendly family includes many aspects, such as tact, responsibility, respect, tolerance, support and many others. It goes without saying that in a good family both partners help each other and try to overcome difficulties together. So they are always ready to support and to give a good piece of advice. They share housework as well as sorrow and joy. Peace in any case better than war.
The parents, generally, are the ones who steer the ship to the right course. They need to have the navigational aids to do this. One of the navigational aids is tolerance. If there is an absence of tolerance between both the parents, then the ship will drift in the sea with no direction.
Tolerance, together with patience, is the best navigational aid to steer a family to peace and happiness.
A high level of tolerance exercised by the parents will calm the family and any child.

So today I hope we ‘ve come to the conclusion that people must be patient and tolerant, tender and attentive towards each other in the family. The generation gap can be bridged and parents should be strict and understanding at the same time.
